Using various approaches and different perspectives, Challenges to Representative Democracy: A European Perspective, (PDF) targets at presenting all the possible faces of the modern Nation-State. Based on political science methodology, this volume is dedicated to both theory and practice. The structure of the ebook is unconventional. The issues given are extremely contextual, subject to an ongoing discussion and mostly unpredictable. From the scientific point of view, the territorial differentiation in the customary uniform of the Nation-State is simply reconfigured and redesigned due to the new logic of internal market competition.
The monograph presents a determined (…) analysis of the challenges currently facing the European States. (…) I found the collection to provide a set of perspectives that are equally challenging and refreshing. — Daniel Wincott, Cardiff University
The ebook (…) organizes in a harmonic frame a wide research concerning many complicated strictly interdependent issues. The study is enriched by a sharp conclusive reinterpretation of the concept of the Nation-State. The existence of well-integrated approaches (…)conveys the great intellectual richness of the volume. — Adriano Giovannelli, Università degli Studi di Genova
